FABRIC FEATURED: ROSEMALING COLLECTION

The Rosemaling collection is designed with inspiration from my heritage. A walk down Blomstervegen - meaning flower road in Norwegian, where delicate vines of wild berries interweave along the side of the footpath.

The petals were created with the traditional technique - Rosemaling. This technique was combined using Ochre pigments mixed with Chromacryl paints. The pigments give an organic feel to the painting process, which provides a soft delicate palette for this design. The designs were then converted to a digital image that enables the design to be printed on a variety of fabrics.

The colour theme was a delicate decision with inspiration from the colour guides for Scandinavian interiors - 2024. With that in mind, I have created this design which may carry from the parents’ wing, to the baby’s nursery.

This design lends itself for a muslin baby wrap, lightweight cloth to drape over the bed, or even lightweight linen for the nursery, or pram.

Alternative options may be considered for a lightweight table runner, or sheer curtains, as the minimum order for the Mussi fabric is x5m.
